Blooming Flower Tea consists of dried tea leaves and aromatic flowers, bundled and hand-tied into compact bulbs. They are made by highly skilled artisans. Each one is designed to open when steeped, to form a beautiful floral arrangement. Blooms often contain one or more of chrysanthemum, jasmine, hibiscus, osmanthus, globe amaranth, lily or rose. In addition to serving as an elegant centerpiece for tea service or special occasions, our premium blooming tea bulbs make a nice pot of tea.

Tasting Notes: Aroma and taste varies from one type to the next, but most are pleasant floral green tea, with jasmine being the most common.
Origin: Anhui Province, China
How to prepare it: Choose a transparent container, preferably made of tempered glass or other heat tolerant clear material, for the display. Place the bulb in 170-180 degree water. It will unfurl in a way that emulates a blooming plant, with flowers emerging from the center. When the blooming process is complete, the arrangement can be positioned at the bottom-center of your display vessel. You may pour off the tea for consumption, as many of these are floral green teas like jasmine, and then replace it with fresh water for the arrangement.
