Matcha is the central element in traditional Japanese tea ceremony. It is a fine powder, made from Gyokuro tea. Only the finest, young, shade-grown Gyokuro tea leaves are used to create Matcha. The leaves are plucked and laid out flat to dry. Veins are removed, at which point they are called tencha. The tencha are ground in granite mills until they become Matcha. The result is a vibrant green tea powder, with unmatched concentration of pure green tea flavor and healthy antioxidants. Whether your aim is to re-create a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, or just enjoy one of the world’s finest cups of green tea, our Matcha will suit your need, and we make it possible at an affordable price.
